we recently performed our group pieces for singing certificate and i think personally it went very well because we planned it out very well and we practised a lot and but our best skills to the test. the type of ensemble was Acapella and pop we originally had two Musial theatre song but we ended up changing them as we wanted to challenge ourselves more so instead of doing two musical theatre songs we chose songs that would make us come across as an actual group of singers. we chose an accaeplla to show our voices and then a dance song to show of we can move and dance at the same time. When we did change the songs we split the lyrics evenly, we printed lyrics so that we could look at the song and pick parts we thought would be best for our voices. we then also used YouTube to look up different live performances to help out with the dancing and the formation and how they presented themselves on stage as artists. when it came to choosing roles we all did everything equally we came up with the dance together and we all chose who would sing what, the reason we didnt have any group leaders or anything like that is because since its a group performance we all wanted to show that we were together as ensemble.

Whilst we were rehearsing it took a long time to get to the final product. it started with us making a dance to a song called one night only and doing another acting song called its all over, at first we thought it was a good idea because we spent ages learning lines and doing the dance over and over that we eventually got bored with singing and dancing to that song. with the acting song we couldn't find any good backing tracks so we then thought it would be good to do a song called lose my breath which really motivated us to create a whole new dance and learn a new song but then it was so fast that we found it hard to breath while singing so we then were in s struggle because we only has over moth till the performance and we had all these ideas and songs but we couldn't agree. then one day we all agreed to do the songs love me like you and work from home. we originally sang love me like you with a backing track but then we thought it sounded better acapella and we thought we would come across as friendly if we sat in a circle smiling at each other and being intimate. and with work from home we thought it was our most powerful one as we had dancing and singing all in one. to conclude i think that the performance went very well and it really showed off our skills as performers i liked the fact it took us so long to finally pick a song because we now know different dances to songs and its good practise.
